Why do I need a personal diet?

…because everybody needs a personal diet plan

We are all different on the inside as well as on the outside, just like our finger print. Scientists call this ‘biochemical individuality’

What makes us different?

It’s partly genetic and partly due to our environment and the food that we’ve eaten during our lives. Some people need a high carbohydrate diet with lots of fruit and vegetables, low fat foods and light meats. However, many don’t! Eskimos traditionally eat a diet that is very high in protein and fats. If you were an Eskimo, a high carbohydrate, low fat diet would make you very unhealthy indeed. Many people need a diet that is higher in darker meats and fats. This is the reason that many people had some success on the Atkins diet. But, again, not everybody needs a high protein, high fat diet and many people became ill when they tried Atkins.

So, how do we know what diet is right for us? Well, your body will tell you if your diet is not right for you. Do you experience sweet cravings, hunger within 2-3 hours of a meal, energy slumps, headaches or digestive issues? If you do, it’s a sign that your diet is not right for your body. When we eat the diet that our body needs we have great health, energy and we achieve and maintain our optimal weight for lifelong health!
