What is important for weight loss?
Rule number one for successful weight loss is to build health. A healthy body doesnt need to carry extra weight.
When we build health, our body will naturally gravitate towards its natural weight and maintain it for life.
To build health, our body needs the right balance of nutrients. The balance that we require is unique to our body.
When we get this balance right, we are healthy, energetic and of course, achieve our optimal weight.

Weight loss has little to do with calories or fat...
Many diet plans and dieticians will try to convince you that to lose weight, you need to cut calories and reduce
fat intake. In fact, weight loss actually has relatively little to do with calories or fat. Weight loss or weight
gain is determined primarily by 2 things - hormones and toxins. Many people struggle to lose weight, or maintain
a stable weight, because their body is in storage mode. Insulin is the bodys number 1 storage hormone. When we eat
foods that have a high Glycemic Index or (Glycemic Load) or are high in sugar, our body releases insulin to store
the extra blood sugar away often in the form of fat. Our body also stores many of the toxins we consume in our
fat cells. This is one of the bodys defence mechanisms. The body actually does this to keep you alive! The fat
cells are a safer place to store toxins that your blood stream or vital organs.

The important point is that everyone is different...
To allow our body to lose weight, we must allow it to switch from storage mode to release mode. To do this, we need
to make sure we eat the balance of fats, carbohydrates and proteins that is right for our individual body. For
stable energy and weight loss, we also need to ensure we eat the level of starch that is right for us. Many people
do eat too much starch and carbohydrate. However, high protein or low carb diets are not healthy for everyone. The
